Patterns of use of built-up areas in Israel

This work sets two goals: First, to create a database that reflects the built-up area in Israel, it's layout, the patterns of use, and the forms of area management, This database is essential for understanding processes on the thickening of the built-up areas, their saturation and expansion. Moreover, this database is a starting point for national policy and future planning of the relationship between the built and the open. Second, a comparison of the map of the built-up area and the latest database for 2003 with the map and database compiled with the same methodology for 1998. This comparison reflects the development of the extent and patterns of construction in Israel along the timeline.
