Climate Change: Science, Policy, and Planning

Prof. Daniel Orenstein

This course introduces students to climate change science, including key technical concepts such as the greenhouse effect, carbon cycling, and climate history. It explores socio-ecological impacts and critically evaluates mitigation and adaptation policies. It concludes with students proposing and analyzing approaches to address anthropogenic climate change (e.g., technological, policy, or planning).

Grade determination: Active participation in lectures, attendance, Article presentation, and final project.

Scope of Study: 3 hours of lecture per week.
